All International students and Graduate students in GDOCL and GMFA programs will have dental coverage included with their enrollment in the Vanderbilt student health insurance plan.  All other students can enroll themselves and dependents voluntarily during the open enrollment periods below:

Fall: 06/17/2024 - 09/12/2024

Spring: 12/02/2024 - 02/01/2025

MetLife Info/Card

Student subscribers will receive an email from MetLife with their MetLife member ID. The ID card will include an assigned ID number that should be shared with their dentist at their next visit. Participating network dentists will submit claims to MetLife using the assigned ID number. Students will also need to provide their assigned ID number when contacting customer service and when setting up their MetLife Dental account via metlife.com/mybenefits.

If you need your Member ID Number before you get your ID card, please contact MetLife Dental customer service at 1 (800) 942-0854.  You may also order an ID card online through metlife.com/mybenefits.

Network providers file for you! For services provided by non-Network providers, please see the below MetLife Dental reimbursement form. This form will need to be completed by your dentist and mailed to the address below.
